Book from the Crypt

Twilight, the cursed book

This CURSED limited edition of the banned book Twilight, was picked up by Neri Nicebottom during a visit to the pleasant crypts underneath the city of al-Hammâm.

Twilight is a dark tale of forbidden vampire romance written by a noted vampire apologist. It is banned throughout the Empire because of its terrible writing. I mean, look at this:

“He lay perfectly still in the grass, his shirt open over his sculpted, incandescent chest, his scintillating arms bare”

Oh, and

“Sleep, my Bella. Dream happy dreams. You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours. Sleep, my only love”

Yeah, so anyone in the Empire who is caught with the book will answer to the Inquisition.

Not surprisingly, it is a number #2 bestseller in the evil city of Black Harbor. Those heathens like stuff like that. I mean, the number #1 bestseller in Black Harbor is Father Alexius the Imaginatives’ famous book; Girth, Wind and Fire – The Lucid Tales of a Midnight Witch Orgy. Sheesh.

Oh, and the cursed bit? Bah, it’s probably not important.
